thanks to recommendations of the čsob fg employees 22 non-profit projects will acquire financial support

 

December 1, 2009 - On October 19, 2009 ČSOB Financial group in cooperation with the Pontis Foundation announced, already for the third time, their employees grant giving program. Until November 10, 2009, employees of the ČSOB FG could recommend  for financial support projects of non-governmental organizations from the whole of Slovakia. They have recommended 72 projects of NGOs, which is the biggest number of projects until now. 29 875 EUR was thus allocated from the ČSOB FG Foundation Fund at the Pontis Foundation. 22 non-profit organizations received support, up to 2000 EUR each.

„The projects will help local communities where employees of the ČSOB Financial group live or work. Through this employees‘ grant giving program we aim to achieve higher involvement of our employees in philanthropic activities of the company. We are convinced that our employees know best where, in their communities, help is needed. Thanks to this employees‘ grant giving program they can co-decide into which public service activities their employer should invest,“ says Tereza Molnár Copláková, Head of Public Relations at the ČSOB FG.

Different activities were supported from the fund, i.e. free time activities of children and the youth, sports activities, reconstructions of historical monuments. Support also went to organizations which help disabled people and socially underprivileged people.

From the 22 supported projects 6 are from the Bratislava region, 1 from the Trnava region, 2 projects are based in the Trenčín region, 1 project is from the Banská Bystrica region, 2 are from the Žilina region, 6 from the Košice region and 4 projects are based in the Prešov region. Realization of all of the projects is planned from the first half of December 2009 – until May 31, 2010.
