NGOs can acquire windows 7 through techsoup slovakia

December 21, 2009 - Microsoft, currently the only donator of the IT technology donors program TechSoup Slovakia, on the occasion of their newly published operational system Windows 7 offers the possibility for NGO organizations to apply for a one-off special technological gift. This offer is valid until January 31, 2010.

According to Microsoft regulations, an organization can apply for a technological gift once in 12 months and in the period of 24 months can receive a maximum of 6 products, each with the maximum of 50 client licenses.

If an organization already submitted an application in 2009, it can make use of this special offer and submit another application until January 31, 2010, however only for products Windows Vista and / or Windows 7.

If an organization has not yet submitted an application for a gift and will by January 31, 2010 submit its first one for products Windows Vista and / or Windows 7, later in the year it will be allowed to file its regular annual application for other 5 products. Organizations will thus have the opportunity to submit two different applications in one year. All regulations concerning the maximum number of licenses remain unchanged.
