news in the great country

January 22, 2010 - Two months after its launch, Great country has a number of news. You can now support good projects also by using credit cards. You can give your friends free credits on the portal as a gift. We prepared a virtual tour of the Great country and you can also become a fan of Great country on Facebook. So far 316 donors supported good ideas of non-profit organizations and donated altogether 5 504 EUR.

As of the beginning of February we can donate on the Great country portal via credit cards. This is a simple and reliable means of payment. You don’t need to go to the post office, or the bank, or command an internet banking transfer. Online payments on the portal are possible only for clients of the Všeobecná úverová bank, Tatra bank, Slovenská sporitelňa, UniCredit Bank and Volksbank. Through a credit card, you can donate finances regardless of where you have your bank account.

Thinking of an untraditional gift? Give your friends credit on the Great country portal. With the finances you donate this way, your friends will be able to support any project on the portal they choose.

In the two months since Great country was launched 316 donors registered on the portal. 115 of them supported projects by a total sum of 5 504 EUR. Another 570 EUR was fundraised for the functioning of the Great country. One of the registered donors, interesting enough, is a group of elementary students at Hlboká street in Bratislava and a group of employees of Hewlett-Packard Slovakia. The most supported project on the portal (by 436 EUR) is a project of the Civic Association Against the Flow called Battle for man in the first line, which helps the homeless. The biggest donation from an individual donor was 500 EUR. 12 donors donated more than 100 EUR. 36 donors support two or more projects on the portal.
