On September 25 – October 1, 2005 we held a conference in Amman, the capital city of Jordan, entitled Development of Civil Society in Slovakia after 1989. The conference was attended by 28 representatives from Iraq’s NGO sector. It’s aim wass to share the experience of Slovakia during the period of political and economic transformation after 1989, later developments of political environment and civil society, as well as the creation and tasks performed by the NGO sector during this phase.
The conference program was divided into four thematic days. In general, the program was split into two parts: morning sessions, which were more theoretically focused, and afternoon sessions, aimed at practical trainings related to lectured topics, or other related topics:
