In this academic year of 2008/2009 Pontis Foundation began with the Development Aid Education project which is indirectly connected with our completed Global Education program.
This new project features lectures on various aspects of development aid for students of five Slovak universities in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Trnava, Nitra and Prešov.
Part of the project is to organize a few days of winter school on development aid for a group of selected students.
Our goal is to strengthen a citizen’s tradition and solidarity of Slovakia with the developing countries. We believe that this goal can be achieved through raising public awareness activities and strengthening dialogue on the international responsibility of Slovakia in providing development aid and strengthening the wider neighborhood of the European Union.
