Soci SDGs – Social innovation and the inclusion of sustainable development goals
The trans-European project of eight countries will work on the implementation of nine socially oriented objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the first group of universal global goals which set ambitious goals by 2030 for all, both developed and developing countries.
SociSDGs is a two-year Erasmus Plus project which we launched in November 2017. It aims to exchange best practices in corporate social responsibility to cover nine SDGs which address the following social needs:
- zero poverty,
- no hunger,
- quality education,
- gender equality,
- decent work,
- economic growth,
- reducing inequalities,
- sustainable cities and communities,
- sustainable consumption and sustainable production models.
We cooperate with the Croatian Institute for Social Responsibility (CSR) as well as with the company entitled IDOP, which leads the project. The other seven partners come from Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia and the United Kingdom.
Through the project, we focus on how to measure progress and how to report on each of these nine SDGs. We will create nine webinars, a best practice guide for CSR professionals and an online collaboration platform.
The project officially started with a two-day meeting in Zagreb, Croatia on the 7th and 8th of November, 2017.
