Educational and networking meetings<\/h5>\n

We consider sharing proven examples and failed attempts as an effective tool for growth. We therefore organize networking and educational events four times a year, covering topical issues, often with the participation of external experts. In 2022, we opened the topics How to help the planet through volunteering and teambuilding (Is planting trees really the best thing we can do for the planet?), Fundraising in the workplace, How to organize a clothing collection and LGBTQ+ people in the workplace (in collaboration with the Diversity Charter).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Recommendations for responsible companies<\/h5>\n

We want responsible business to become the norm in Slovakia. Every year we prepare practical advice for companies that want to take their responsibility further. Our recommendations on corporate volunteering and on specific ESG topics are available for free download to the general public.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Our City<\/h5>\n

Since 2007, Our City has been connecting businesses, municipalities and the NGO sector to clean, beautify and visibly improve our cities. Every year, thousands of volunteers from companies all over Slovakia wear the same T-shirts and take part in volunteering activities. There is a lot of interest in the activities from employees and they often fill up in a matter of hours. Companies involved in the Companies to the Community group can book activities in advance to secure a place at their preferred organization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Collection of clothes<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

Twice a year we organize a collection of clothes and necessities for people in need. We provide a list of organizations and their needs, handouts for staff, and practical tips for collection coordinators. In 2023, 29 companies participated in the collection, helping 40 organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Consultancy and capacity building<\/h5>\n

How to introduce volunteering into a company, how to convince the management and motivate the passive majority to volunteer? We provide consulting, create volunteering activities and help to set up a long-term volunteering programme that is linked to the company’s vision. Expert Volunteering<\/h5>\n

Sharing knowledge through training or mentoring is the best way to improve in a given area. We offer participating companies the opportunity to conduct training sessions for nonprofits and schools on a topic of their choice to help them increase both the impact and effectiveness of their work. GivingTuesday<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

GivingTuesday is a global celebration of generosity, giving and volunteering. Thousands of people, organisations and companies celebrate good deeds and spread goodness on this day, which was created as a counterpart to Black Friday. It’s an opportunity for businesses to showcase their values, demonstrate that they are not indifferent to the needs of others and foster a sense of community among employees. In Slovakia, more than 50 companies participate in GivingTuesday each year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
