Are you familiar with the Bee Country?  The Pontis Foundation had the great opportunity of spending two days being useful and helping there. In the quiet and ecologically clean Liešnica valley near Kokava nad Rimavicou, the Bee Country provides an educational apiary and an environmental centre where we can have a close look at the fascinating world of pollinators. Have a look at how we helped.

Some of us embarked on cleaning up the surroundings of apiary

Others sewed and stacked wood for winter, cleaned up the barn floor or planted plants

We helped make small houses for insects, tables with the names of plants and so-called seed-bombs

We watched bees and found out lot of interesting facts about them

Of course, we didn’t miss the relaxing barbeque
