We have launched a new website dedicated to development education

The website is intended for teachers, university students as well as for the general public that are interested in development cooperation.

There is still a lack of information on development education in Slovakia. We lack experts on development education who would develop a discussion on the role and contribution of this educational concept for the society in Slovakia and abroad. The purpose of our new website, www.unidev.info, is to eliminate this shortcoming and provide not only students but also the general public with scientific information on development education.

The website includes information materials, research papers, links to digital libraries and journals as well as other interesting links. It will also keep on providing information on ongoing activities of the UNIDEV project in development education on universities as well as the information on calls open for teachers, researchers and university students to apply. We are preparing road trips to the Sub-Saharan Africa for scholars, a summer school on development education in Dublin for students and teachers, and information and education campaigns for the general public, for example.

If you deal with development cooperation topics, you can also find some interesting information on the Pontis Foundation website in the Development Education section. For elementary and secondary schools, there is the globalnevzdelavanie.sk website, operated by People in Peril.

Read more about the UNIDEV project that we carry out in collaboration with Kimmage, an Irish organization, and NGO-SC, a Cypriot organization.
